We had a great experience. We had a nice group (17people) all very pleasant travel companions. The food was great(lots of local /seasonal veggies which we enjoyed- others tired quickly of eggplant dishes - but not us!). We travelled in a large(45 seats) motor coach with 19 people. Accommodations were fabulous. The sites were spectacular. As usually happens, the sites we thought would be uninteresting were very interesting. One thing- the home hosted meals were really home restaurants, nothing personal about them. There was no interaction with family members(other than to pay the tab for beer). Departing Tashkent for the Almaty extension 3 travellers found that vantage failed to buy airfare... Our tour leader got it done and we were all able to continue together! The Almaty extension was great- just wish we had more time to see more of the country. Also we had checked the weather forecasts and thought light jackets would be sufficient for Almaty in October, not. We made a run to the mall to buy winter coats. Entering and leaving Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan were memorable events All in All Fantastic trip made possible by our tour leader Zhanar
