This was a fabulous trip and could not be any better. Anne is the best tour director ever; the local guides in Cairo and Alexandria were excellent. The only problems we had were the air accommodations and lay-overs going and coming. We were not pleased with Luftansa at all; the seats were not comfortable for long trips; the planes were old. I think part of the reason was that you did not reserve our flights early enough and we could not get premium economy seats. That really was not acceptable and paying over $5,000.00 a person for business class is really too much added to the cost of the trip. We did pay for business class from Munich to Newark, but that was less than $1,000.00 per person and was available when we checked in for the flight. If you want people to pay for business class, it has to be cheaper than what was quoted. Also, doing the Tanzania visa application on line was problematic and no one at Vantage was able to help us. That has to change.
I personally truly enjoyed the company of Keith during the trip. The story of his personal experience and knowledge of wildlife was so interesting and made my trip more interesting. His relaxed and friendly personally was very pleasant to be around. He has a great sense of humour as well. I think we all miss him greatly. I also enjoyed Ahmed's guide expertise during Egypt trip. He was full of history knowledge and very pleasant to be with. He also has great sense of humour too. In Zanzibar, after the spice tour, I asked Juma to let me connect with local people. I wanted to talk and see more culture. He took me and another lady to his wife's friend's relative's wedding banquet. We visited the couple's future home neighborhood and played with children. We also met his first wife and his children at his house. I really thank him to take good care of us at his personal level. That made my experience even richer.
I had my trip to Cape to Cairo and was an excellent trip. Our Vantage Leader Mr. Porgieter made this trip a wonderful vacation. We had problems with our luggage where open and broke it and in a second occasion my luggage disappear!!! but thanks to Mr Porgieter I can get it back. He made a report of this incidents. I want to make a claim about this to the insurance. Please tell me what I have to do for this claim for the insurance. Thank you for the help you may give me.
