Across Patagonia: Chile's Lakes, Mountains & Wildlife - 2022

PACING: 

• This is an easily paced itinerary.
• Look forward to a 12-night land-based adventure with a day room, 3 nights at a hotel in Puerto Varas; 2 nights at a hotel in Punta Arenas; 4 nights at an all-inclusive eco-resort in Puerto Natales; and 3 nights at a hotel in Santiago.
• Each day blends included sightseeing and activities with free time; there are also three free evenings and free time in Santiago during which you may relax or explore on your own, or on optional tours. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lots of sightseeing takes place on foot. By foot, we cover some moderately rugged paths, and for some hikes we walk in areas without trails.
• We will also board small boats for two nature excursions.
• In Puerto Natales, you will have a choice of two included but elective activities: horseback riding or hiking.
• Should you choose to forego these you can relax or explore independently; your Adventure Leader will be happy to suggest alternate activities for your free time. 
• Please refer to Vantage's wheelchair and handicapped traveler policy as this journey does have some physical limitations.

TERRAIN & TRANSPORTATION:

• Some of the walking tours may be over uneven terrain, cobblestone walkways and paths.
• Enjoy some sightseeing aboard air-conditioned motorcoaches and two excursion vessels.
• Some of our motorcoach transfers include short stretches of bumpy, unpaved and dusty roads.
  
  

CLIMATE: 

• Patagonia travel may require some climate adjustment!
• When going on a Patagonia adventure, you can't be sure of sunny weather — strong winds, rains, and cooler temperatures may occur at any time of the year.
• Since the weather is unpredictable, please check weather sites online for 10-day forecasts closer to your departure date to plan your packing accordingly.
