Morocco: Imperial Cities & Sahara Safari - 2022

Each Vantage Adventure is designed to help you fully experience local culture and to get out and explore while keeping active. We find these are the two most fulfilling and rewarding ways to transform any trip into an adventure, and into the experience of a lifetime. To that end, we’ve rated each trip to indicate the level of cultural immersion and physical activity, with “1” being the lowest and “3” being the highest. 

PACING

• This trip is moderately easy-paced
• You will visit 6 cities in 15 days, with 2- and 3-night stays in 5 destinations (Rabat, Fez, Erfoud, Ouarzazate, and Marrakesh), and a 1-night stay in Casablanca at the end of your tour

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• This adventure is not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs or other mobility aids.
• You must be able to walk 1-2 miles unassisted over the course of each day, exploring on foot and standing for up to a half hour at a time. You must also be comfortable participating in 4-6 hours of daily physical activities.

TERRAIN & TRANSPORTATION

• We travel via air-conditioned bus (no toilet on board) and 4x4 SUVs in the Sahara. Agility and balance are required to board and disembark these vehicles.
• We’ll also have a 1 hour-long camel ride. Please refer to Vantage’s wheelchair and handicapped traveler policy in the Tour Participation Agreement found on the Vantage website.

• Since the weather is unpredictable, please check weather sites online for 10-day forecasts closer to your departure date to plan your packing accordingly.
