PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• You must be able to walk 2-3 miles unassisted in order to experience each destination fully, following local pathways on islands and small villages, and climbing steps and steep streets to enjoy fabulous views
• The tours are not suitable for wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids and walking disabilities. Please refer to Vantage's wheelchair- and handicapped-traveler policy for further information. TERRAIN & TRANSPORTATION

• At most ports of call, the Ocean Odyssey will dock at the pier so that you can walk from ship ramp to shore
• Occasional ports of call will require tendering (shuttling to shore via a smaller boat)
• Sightseeing that requires transportation will take place on a private, air-conditioned motorcoach
• Steps and cobblestones are to be expected, as well as occasional steep and/or uneven terrain

CLIMATE

• September typically brings a cool-down, but the region still will be generally hot, especially Italy’s southernmost areas like Sicily
