Hydra started as a family-owned pottery and handmade silver and gold workshop located outside the Acropolis in the 1960s. In 1967, the first brick and mortar store opened, with a second following in 1969. The shops merged into one entity in 2000, and today Hydra features exclusive silver and gold jewelry, as well as handmade cameos, high-quality and fairly-priced Greek products, and exceptionally warm customer service.
