This trip was busy but better than I expected. Our cruise director Elena was exceptional in every aspect of the trip. You are lucky to have such a dedicated director that is so loyal to the Company. I especially enjoyed hearing of her love for her Country and in the trips that Vantage offers for my future travel. When I arranged my trip I upgraded the overseas flight and explained the need for my legs to be elevated due to prior blood clots. I find that the $1,180 I had to pay for the upgrade was a waste, as it is as cramped as coach. A couple of the people sitting around me were complaining about it as well (especially on the flight from USA). They arranged their own flights. One paid $200 for the upgrade from coach and one paid $500. I feel I was ripped off having the pay $1,180 for that same upgrade! All hotels were great, but the boat was old and offered no optional eating other than the designated time, which I did not like.
This was an excellent trip. Vonage did a fabulous job!! They deserve an A+. Everything we did and saw was very interesting. The director did a phenomenal job. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I'd love to have her again. The Russian people were extremely nice and accommodating. I would strongly recommend this trip to anyone interested in Russian history, arts, culture and current lifestyle. We visited many beautiful places, but the Hermitage in St. Petersburg was the highlight of the trip for me. It is totally awesome. I'd love to spend lots more time there.
